Floyd Instruments is a leading supplier and Australia’s only manufacturer of pressure gauges and industrial thermometers. Creating these intricate products require a high degree of precision from both hi-tech machines and technicians’ manual work. Quality and durable lighting were instrumental to both the manufacturing process as well as occupation health and safety.

The company understood the value of investing in corporate social responsibility and saw LED lighting as pivotal to its “Going Green” initiative.

LEDified upgraded Floyd Instruments to a combination of LEDs, specifically tailored to each area of their facility. The lab rooms were fitted out with LEDified’s Titan Tube, and the warehouse with the Sigma Highbays series, respectively reducing lighting energy consumption by 66% and 73%.

The LEDs produce a clear and consistent light that enhances visibility in the warehouse while also creating a more welcoming ambiance across the facility. What’s more, the upgrade to LED lighting will result in a carbon abatement of 21,487kg.

As a bonus to the business’s commitment to sustainability practices, it now also anticipates saving approximately $70,000 in lighting costs over the next ten years.

Access Hire in Clayton, Victoria, provides businesses with the latest in elevated work platform technology, materials handling equipment and other associated equipment. Their high-ceiling warehouse was in need of a practical solution for lighting up the space in a way that would provide clear visibility for the workers. In the office and reception areas, staff found the old lighting harsh and tiring on the eyes.

Coincidentally, the business was looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint so reducing their energy consumption with LED lighting was the next logical step. LEDified was on board.

Using a combination of LEDified’s Titan tube and Sigma Smartbay product ranges, the building came out from the shadows.

The clear and welcoming LED light improved office conditions and minimised strain on eyesight. Visibility in the warehouse also improved with the new highbays, which meant workers could complete daily activities more efficiently.

Importantly, the LED upgrade successfully reduced Access Hire’s carbon footprint, resulting in a 17,147Kg carbon abatement and over $5,000 in annual savings in lighting and maintenance costs.

The Photo Shop in Port Melbourne, Victoria, provides framing and various photography services such as restoration, home décor and weddings.

The charming store displays an assorted range of colourful frames, canvases and poster art, so bright, even lighting that would highlight them was essential. This task was right up LEDified’s alley!

The shop had LEDified downlights and shopfitters retrofitted and the results are brilliant. Light now evenly illuminates the displays, emphasising their rich colour spectrum.

Over a year after the install, the store has more than halved their annual energy costs. LEDified’s on-bill financing option also allowed the store to fund its investment with the savings generated by the new lights – the LEDs literally paid for themselves!

Founded in 1851, Scotch College has been educating boys for over 160 years.

Located in the heart of suburban Melbourne, their beautiful single campus, spanning 27 hectares and flanked by the Yarra River, provides a home for the Scotch Family of boys, staff, parents and Old Boys.

LEDified was approached by Scotch College, Melbourne, when they sought advice to upgrade to LED lighting. The facilities’ manager initially under took the challenge of sourcing the LEDs, hiring the required labour and completing all documentation needed.

Pharmasave’s management, in Carnegie, was looking for opportunities to reduce its energy costs. Given the pharmacy’s long retail hours of operation, the store would spend over $6,000 in lighting costs, not to mention having to deal with the regular and costly maintenance of replacing globes.

The current lighting was known to spread light unevenly throughout the aisles, which meant that products were not jumping off the shelves.

LEDified’s LED upgrade resulted in beautiful even light that illuminated product displays vividly. As an added bonus, the staff found that visibility  in the store improved, reducing eye strain and making for a more pleasant working environment.

The best part was the management had accomplished what it had set out to do: the store more than halved their lighting costs, now saving over $4,500 a year!

Amcal Pharmacy in Prahran needed lighting that would create an inviting atmosphere and accentuate their diverse product range, which their current lighting conditions unfortunately did not achieve.

The trendy decor of their beauty department was dimly lit by the old lighting fixtures, so LEDified were asked to brighten up the store and make the products jump off the shelf. Challenge accepted!

LEDified upgraded the pharmacy’s look with a combination of LED Titan tubes and Solo Shopfitters, which increased illumination levels, making product labels easier to read.

In addition, the store now saves over $4,000 a year on ighting costs and they are unlikely to have to replace another bulb for at least a decade!

When the Australian Retailers Association (ARA) moved their offices to East Melbourne, they realised that the lighting in the premises was not up to standard so they approached LEDified for a LED upgrade that would improve their open office space.

The organisation needed to have the entire project designed and installed in less than two weeks to ensure that the moving plans were not disturbed.

LEDified replaced the fluorescent troffers with low wattage LED troffers that delivered a crisp clear light, ideal for their office environment. Needless to say, the results were recognised immediately.

Clark Rubber in Chirnside Park is a large store selling a vast range of rubber products and related equipment, such as a swimming pools. However, with little daylight filtering into the store from the entrance, it was important that their lighting showcased their products and provide even and comfortable lighting. The old halogen lights didn’t achieve the desired results and would result in exorbitant maintenance and lighting costs.Kevin Gorman found that the LEDified upgrade delivered fantastic results. His store now has bright, natural-daylight-coloured LEDs that illuminate his products evenly, without any dark patches, resulting in a more pleasant customer and employee experience. The LEDified design and install process was simple and non-disruptive to the store’s day-to-day business and, to Kevin’s delight, the upgrade now saves him over $13,000 a year!

The management team of the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC) House in Melbourne wanted to improve the look of their showroom and reduce their ongoing energy and maintenance costs. The foyer area took a leading focus due to its high volumes of foot traffic.

The existing lighting comprised 125W shop-fitters, which were inefficient and were creating poor  lighting conditions.
